Dr. Swan is a native of Coldwater, MI. She completed her undergraduate education at Michigan State University, where she earned a bachelor of science in chemistry. Her dental training was conducted at the University of Michigan, where she remained for her postgraduate training in orthodontics. In 2007, she was awarded a master of science for her thesis on three-dimensional radiographic techniques. Dr. Swan is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. She is also an Invisalign^® certified provider. 

Dr. Swan is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Michigan Association of Orthodontists, and the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists. She maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and West Michigan District Dental Society. She also participates in local study groups, such as the Kent County Dental Society and the Michigan Tweed Study Club. In addition, she attends continuing education courses across the country to ensure that her practice remains at the forefront of modern orthodontic techniques.

Dr. Swan resides in Grand Rapids, where she enjoys golfing, theater, and spending time with her family. She is an avid fan of college football and basketball, and loves to travel both within the United States and internationally. She is a member of the Grand Rapids Jaycees, and an advisor for Phi Mu Fraternity at Grand Valley State University. 

Dr. Swan is committed to providing superior orthodontic results in a friendly, patient-centered environment. She enjoys getting to know each of her patients, and seeing their smile and confidence improve as treatment progresses.
